The read
Our editorial read
Utah's Halloween rave weekend, three nights at The Great Saltair in 2026 with FISHER and Subtronics over a bass-heavy bill.
The full editorial
Get Freaky is Salt Lake City's Halloween festival, and for 2026 it returns to The Great Saltair, the old lakeside pavilion about 15 miles west of downtown. The venue is the point: an indoor hall, an outdoor amphitheater and a strip of beach on the Great Salt Lake, all cold and windy in late October. Three nights run 7 PM to 2 AM Friday and Saturday and 6 PM to 1 AM Sunday, so you can actually sleep, unlike at many Halloween events. The bill leans bass. Subtronics, Svdden Death, Level Up and a Caspa b2b Distinct Motive set carry the heavy end; FISHER, James Hype, Meduza and it's murph cover house; Badger and Justin Hawkes bring drum and bass. It is 18+, with no camping and no re-entry, so everyone drives, shuttles or books a hotel. Parking is $20 a car and cash only, the main logistical wart. Official shuttles run from downtown and the airport for $35-$49 a day. Go for a compact Halloween festival with strong production and a crowd that treats costumes as the reason to be there, and accept the cold wind off the lake.
Go if
- Bass fans who want Subtronics, Svdden Death and Caspa on the same weekend
- Groups who want costumes, three nights and a hotel bed instead of a tent
- House and drum-and-bass listeners who want FISHER and Badger in the same run
Skip if
- You want camping; there is none, and there is no re-entry
- You dislike cold; the venue sits on the open lake in late October
- You need a walkable city location; The Saltair is 15 miles west of downtown
Inside the festival
Cold lakeside Halloween with costumes, bass pressure and a 1-2 AM finish instead of sunrise.
Mostly 18+ Utah ravers with out-of-state bass fans, costume-heavy and usually moving in groups.

Worth it for / the catch
Worth it for
- Three nights at a venue with an indoor hall, an amphitheater and a beach.
- Doors at 7 PM and a 1-2 AM finish, so the schedule leaves room to sleep.
- Real depth across bass, house and drum-and-bass rather than one narrow lane.
The catch
- No camping and no re-entry, so lodging or a shuttle is mandatory.
- The lakefront site is cold and windy in late October.
- Parking is limited and cash only, which is a poor match for a card-first crowd.
