Insomniac's Halloween weekend festival at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino: six stages, a costume crowd, and 4 PM to 2 AM nights.

The full editorial

Escape takes over the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino on Halloween weekend, and the setting does most of the work: a 120-acre fairground of concrete and asphalt dressed as a dark carnival, with roaming performers and a walk-through area called Crazy Town. Music runs 4 PM to 2 AM both nights, and six stages split house, techno, bass and hard dance, so you can catch a hardstyle set at Feeding Grounds and a techno close at The Cage without crossing the whole site. It is an 18+ crowd, mostly in costume, and it skews young and local: groups from LA, Orange County and the Inland Empire who treat Halloween as the reason to go out. The trade-offs are real. The main stage and the entrance get packed after 9 PM, free parking fills early, and rideshare at 2 AM is slow and expensive; the official answer is the Metrolink special train or a shuttle. There is no camping and no re-entry, so each night is one long commitment. The reason to go is the combination: Halloween-scale production with a lineup that reaches from Zedd and Steve Aoki to Excision, Richie Hawtin and Nina Kraviz.

  • Groups who will actually wear a costume and want a full Halloween night, not a themed rave
  • SoCal ravers who want house, techno, bass and hard dance under one ticket
  • People who can drive, shuttle, or take the Metrolink train and do not need camping

Inside the festival

Halloween is the dress code and most of the crowd commits: dark circus sets, roaming creatures and a party that runs to 2 AM.

Mostly 18+ SoCal ravers in costume, from LA, Orange County and the Inland Empire, with a strong bass and hard dance following.
