The read
Our editorial read
Disco Presents' Halloween bass-and-house weekend at the Travis County Exposition Center in Austin, revived for 2026 as The Revival after 2025's Wicked Oaks fold-in.
The full editorial
Freaky Deaky is Disco Presents' Halloween festival, and the 2026 edition is its first standalone Texas run since 2024. It happens at the Travis County Exposition Center, a county fairground east of Austin with an arena building and open lots for the stages. The 2026 theme is The Revival, a laboratory storyline across The Reactor, The Circuit and The Lab. Bass carries the weekend: SLANDER, Liquid Stranger, Boogie T, Crankdat and Zingara, with ILLENIUM as the melodic anchor and house and UK garage filling the rest (Disco Lines, SIDEPIECE, Odd Mob, Interplanetary Criminal, DJ Heartstring, Hannah Laing). Gates run 3 PM to midnight both nights, so this ends early by rave standards. Parking and the box office open at 2 PM, and there is no re-entry, so each night is one commitment. The crowd is 18+, costume-heavy and mostly Texan. Austin-Bergstrom is a short drive and there is no camping, so it is a hotel weekend. The honest trade-off is scale: the 2026 bill lists 38 acts against 68 in 2024, so the weekend leans on headliners instead of depth. Go for a themed Halloween bass weekend with a real city attached.
Go if
- Bass and dubstep fans who want SLANDER, Liquid Stranger, Boogie T and Crankdat on one bill
- Costume-first groups from across Texas who treat Halloween as the reason to go out
- People who want a drive-in fairground festival and do not need camping
Skip if
- You want camping or a sunrise finish; this ends at midnight with no camping
- You need depth across many genres; the 2026 bill is far smaller than 2024
- You dislike paying $25 a day to park and walking in from the far lots
Inside the festival
Fairground Halloween with a laboratory theme, heavy costumes and bass-forward stages that stop at midnight.
Mostly 18+ Texas ravers in costumes, arriving in groups from Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.

The Revival
The 2026 theme stages the grounds as a dystopian laboratory with three branded areas: The Reactor, The Circuit and The Lab.

Weather and incidents on record
2025
2025 (Wicked Oaks, the combined event that absorbed Freaky Deaky, Summoning of the Eclipse and ILLfest): Friday campground opening was delayed for forecast rain and lightning, Saturday doors opened three hours late, and a severe storm at 10 PM forced a site-wide evacuation. Sunday most parking was unusable, so a free shuttle ran from Circuits of America. Refunds were full for Saturday single-day tickets and 50% for two-day tickets.

Worth it for / the catch
Worth it for
- A costume-first Halloween crowd rather than a generic fall rave.
- Three branded stages cover bass, house, garage and techno on one two-day ticket.
- Austin-Bergstrom is close and the fairground is a straightforward drive-in.
The catch
- About 38 listed acts in 2026, down from 68 in 2024.
- No camping and a hard midnight finish, so it is a hotel-and-drive weekend.
- Parking is $25 a day with a $3 card fee, and the site is a long way from downtown.
