The full editorial
HiJinx is a two-night bass festival that takes over the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia on Dec 30 and 31. It is not a camping festival and not a multi-stage sprawl. It is one main room, indoors, with a lineup that leans hard into dubstep and bass. The 2026 bill is led by Subtronics, Excision B2B Wooli, Ray Volpe B2B Sullivan King and Tape B, with DJ Diesel, Dabin and TroyBoi lower down. Doors are at 4 PM and music runs into the early hours, so night two carries the midnight countdown. It is strictly 18+ and only two-day passes are sold; there is no single-night ticket and no re-entry. The upside of the indoor setup is real: no mud, no weather calls, and the venue sits in Center City, so many hotels are a short walk away. The trade-offs are the ones that come with a single room. Entry lines have been slow in past years, the floor gets packed, and the sound is narrow if you want house or techno. There is no camping and no coat check, so plan a warm layer you can keep on. The reason to go is the booking: HiJinx gathers the biggest names in bass into one room for two nights, and the convention center's scale makes it feel like a warehouse party that grew up.
